Staying at home is so rewarding

So to start off a little about myself, I am 26 years old and currently a stay at home mom of my two beautiful naughty girls. Piper Rose just turned three April 10! Its so hard to believe that I now have a 3 year old that runs me and the house! Paige is my 1 year old who is also starting to pick up some bad habits from her older sister. Paige use to be my sweet angel baby and Piper was my rambunctious whiny baby. Now however Paige is finding her personality more and more and it is more similar to Pipers. I wasn’t always a stay at home mom. In fact, I didn’t become a stay at home mom until our second child was born. I have worked since I was 16 years old and there has never been a time where I didn’t work and didn’t have my own money. I even bought my own first car and not many kids can say that! So giving up my independence and freedom of having my own money has been the most challenging thing for me. Also not feeling like i contribute to the household anymore has kind of been a downer for me.

Being a stay at home mom is so rewarding because we get to build this special bond with our children where they become so attached that you are the only one who can do anything for them! My husband can be sitting on the couch and Piper will ask me for a snack and I’ll say “go tell your dad hes sitting right there” and she will have a full on meltdown because I have to get her snack. I think other moms can also relate to this! The other rewarding benefit of staying home is you get to do all the work. I mean everything! When you become a stay at home mom you also become the maid, the butler, and the chauffeur! Some other moms are like” oh even though I stay at home I split have the house work with my husband” Well Becky your husband must be an angel sent from heaven and how come I didn’t one of those! The other perk of staying home is the only communication you get during the day I from your own children your social life and friends just kind of go out the door! Honestly though it is very rewarding being able to parent my own children and not having someone else spending most the the day with my kids. Its nice to be able to teach them what I want them to know and to also discipline them how i want to. My girls have the best manners, they might be naughty little shit heads, but they always say please and thank you and I can’t help but wonder if they would be like that if they were being babysat by someone else! So all in all motherhood is challenging and fun and I can’t wait to talk more about it and relate to other moms!

And so it begins!

Thank you all for joining my blog! Its been a long time coming. I have been wanting to start a blog for quite some time now and I just never knew where to start or how to start. So today I took the big plunge and just went for it! We all have those times when we really want to do something or start a project, but the one thing that is holding us back is wondering where to start. I watched lots of youtube videos on how to start a blog, but they still weren’t exactly what I was looking for. So here we are…my first boring blog post on how I’m starting my blog!
